Groundbreaking at EOFULA's Spanish Senior Center

(Washington, DC) Friday, March 8, 2002 - "We All Dig It" Anna Marie Neris, Executive Director Education Organization for United Latin American (EOFULA); Paul Savage, Deputy Director, D.C. Department of Housing and Community Development; Jerry Williamson, DHCD; Ward 1 Councilmember Jim Graham; E. Veronica Pace, Director, Office on Aging, and seniors in the community dig together for the Spanish Center on 1842 Calvert Street, N.W. in Adams Morgan. DHCD provided $250,000 grant and a $150,000 low interest loan to fund the renovation and expansion of the Center.

DeWitt, Project Manager, DHCD; Jim Thackleberry, Project Manager, DHCD; Ward 1 Councilmember Jim Graham; Anna Marie Neris, Executive Director, Education Organization for United Latin American (EOFULA); and EFOULA Board President, Angel Luis Irene "dig up" a little time to commemorate good team. DHCD provided 250,000 grant and a $150,000 low interest loan to fund the renovation and expansion of the Center and is located at 1842 Calvert Street, N.W. in Adams Morgan.

DHCD's mission is provide quality and affordable housing opportunities and to increase homeownership for the residents of the District of Columbia. DHCD supports housing development projects by funding acquisition, pre-development, construction, and renovation costs.
