Department of Housing and Community Development; Jerry Williamson, DHCD; Ward 1 Councilmember Jim Graham; E. Veronica Pace, Director, Office on Aging, and seniors in the community dig together for the Spanish Center on 1842 Calvert Street, N.W. in Adams Morgan. DHCD provided $250,000 grant and a $150,000 low interest loan to fund the renovation and expansion of the Center. "Ola, Thumbs Up, We All Dig the Spanish Senior Center" D.C. DHCD's mission is provide quality and affordable housing opportunities and to increase homeownership for the residents of the District of Columbia. DHCD supports housing development projects by funding acquisition, pre-development, construction, and renovation costs.
