Council Approves DHCD FY 2003 Action Plan

On June 18, 2002, the Council of the District of Columbia unanimously adopted the Consolidated Plan for the District of Columbia, Fiscal Year 2003 Action Plan. This Action Plan describes how the District will use the four entitlement grants it receives each year from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

These grants, totaling $47.2 million, are the Community Development Block Grant, the HOME Investment Partnerships Program grant, the Emergency Shelter Grant, and the Housing for People with AIDS (HOPWA) grant.

The District uses these funds to pay for its affordable housing and community development programs and to meet the needs of a variety of low-income homeowners, renters, and special populations.
