DHCD Issues Request for Applications for FY 2003 Neighborhood Development and Community Services Programs

The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) Division of Residential and Community Services issued a Request for Applications (RFA) for FY 2003 funding for the Neighborhood Development Assistance and the Community Based Services. The closing date for applications is August 23, 2003.

This year the Division of Residential and Community Services is using the services of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer/Office of Research and Analysis to help us in this process. After Friday, August 2, 2002, copies of the RFA will only be available at the Office of Research and Analysis (441 4th Street, NW, Suite 400 South) for the remainder of the application period.

Hard copies of the RFA are being circulated at DHCD on a limited basis. However, you are encouraged to access or download your own personal copy from the website of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer The section of the website entitled "Grants RFAs" has the entire RFA document and all attachments except the four maps listed at the back of the document. Those maps are available at DHCD.

Hard copies are not provided independently to anyone unless he or she is on the agency registry of RFA recipients provided by the Office of Research and Analysis, where a signature is required.

DHCD receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) each year to develop programs, projects, and activities that provide affordable housing and promote neighborhood revitalization for the benefit of low- and moderate-income households. Qualified nonprofit organizations may apply to one of both of DHCD's NDAP and CBSP programs.
