Notice of the Second Annual D.C. Fair Housing Symposium

(Washington, DC) ) The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), the DC Office of Human Rights, and the Equal Rights Center sponsor the Second Annual Fair Housing Symposium Cooperative Initiatives: Opportunities to Further Fair Housing for All. This free event will take place at the Metro Center Marriott on April 23, 2003, from 8 am until 4:30 pm.

The symposium promises to be an exciting and informative event. The keynote speaker is Avery Friedman, chief counsel to the Fair Housing Council of Northeast Ohio. Friedman has an extensive background in fair housing and has taught at nearly two dozen law schools throughout the country. He appears regularly on national television shows including Good Morning America, The O'Reilly Factor, CNN, MSNBC and Court TV and has been recognized in TIME, the New York Times and USA Today as a nationally distinguished civil rights lawyer and law professor.

Three panel sessions will address equal access to housing, changing demographics, and programs that enhance fair housing initiatives in DC. Select the following link for details:
