Department of Housing and Community Development: Affordable Housing Proposals Move to Next Step!

(Washington, DC) DHCD announces that 24 proposed projects from respondents to the Fiscal Year 2004 Development Finance Division (DFD) Request for Proposal (RFP) have been selected for further underwriting. An independent review panel met to evaluate proposals based upon predetermined threshold criteria and eligibility ranking criteria and the proposed projects represent community facilities, affordable homeownership opportunities, rental housing for families and housing for senior citizens and special needs populations. For each dollar of its investment, DHCD will leverage approximately 3.3 dollars of private and other public dollars for the development of approximately 1,058 units of long-term affordable housing and community facilities.
