News Release for Immediate Release May 21, 2004 Up To $2 Million Available for Housing Counseling  (Washington, DC) The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is making available approximately $2 million in federal Community Development Block Grant funds to nonprofit organizations for comprehensive housing counseling services in designated areas of the District of Columbia. DHCD is accepting grant applications from community-based, nonprofit organizations and community development corporations to provide comprehensive housing counseling services in designated areas of the District of Columbia. The deadline for application submissions is Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 4:00pm. DHCD expects to execute grant agreements by October 1, 2004.
