Department of Housing and Community Development Submits FY 2005 Action Plan to Council for Approval  

(Washington, DC) The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) FY 2005 Proposed Action Plan has been submitted to the DC Council for public hearing and approval. The proposed plan was prepared with substantial public participation over a five-month period, including four public hearings.

The Action Plan is the District of Columbia’s annual application to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for four entitlement grant programs:

  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
  • Home Investment Partnership Grant Program (HOME)
  • Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG)
  • Opportunities for Persons with Aids Program (HOPWA)

A DC Council Public Hearing on the Proposed FY 2005 Action Plan will be held on July 10, 2004.
