Housing Provider Ombudsman 

The Housing Provider Ombudsman (HPO) assists small housing providers with rent control, tenant opportunity to purchase, and sale and conversion processes in the following ways:

  • Explains notices, petitions and other forms
  • Offers education and outreach
  • Listens to comments, complaints & questions
  • Provides technical assistance
  • Supplies information on resources
  • Directs small housing providers to the proper party

The HPO does not provide legal advice and communications with the HPO are not confidential. However, small housing providers may contact the HPO anonymously.
