Homeownership CBOs

DHCD is committed to providing homeownership opportunities for the District’s low-to-moderate income residents. The District also encourages those who work for the District Government t¬o live in the city they serve. DHCD offers the following homebuyer assistance programs through its CBOs.

Home Purchase Assistance Program: Provides an opportunity for low to moderate income District residents to become first-time homebuyers with interest free loans for gap financing and grants towards acquisition and closing costs to purchase a home in DC. Eligible DC government employees may also receive assistance from the Employer-Assisted Housing Program or Negotiated Employee Assistance Home Purchase Program.
