Request for Comments Issued for Inclusionary Zoning Program

Comments to Chapter 22, entitled “Inclusionary Zoning Implementation,” of Title 14 (Housing) of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations will be accepted until Monday, April 9, 2012.

(Washington, DC) - The Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, pursuant to the authority set forth in § 107 of the Inclusionary Zoning Implementation Amendment Act of 2006, effective March 14, 2007 (D.C. Law 16-275; DC Official Code § 6-1041.07) (“Inclusionary Zoning Act”) and Mayor’s Order 2008-59, dated April 2, 2008, hereby gives notice of request for comments to Chapter 22 entitled “Inclusionary Zoning Implementation” of Title 14 (Housing) of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (“DCMR”).

Chapter 22 of Title 14 of the DCMR establishes procedures for implementing the Inclusionary Zoning Act and the Inclusionary Zoning Regulations adopted by the Zoning Commission for the District of Columbia and codified in Chapter 26 of Title 11 (Zoning) of the DCMR. 

The Deputy Mayor intends to publish proposed rulemaking to amend Chapter 22 of Title 14 of the DCMR in the DC Register following review of comments received through this Notice.

All persons desiring to comment on Chapter 22 of Title 14 of the DCMR should submit comments in writing to Taura Smalls, Legislative Affairs Specialist, Department of Housing and Community Development, 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20020, or via email at taura.smalls@dc.gov, no later Monday, April 9, 2012.
