Inclusionary Zoning Program Income Limits

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

The Inclusionary Zoning affordable housing program uses income limits for two income brackets: Up to 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI), and 51-80% of AMI.  The annual maximum rents and purchase prices are linked to these income limits for each bracket.

These limits are based upon the annual AMI as issued by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and pursuant to D.C. Law 16-275; D.C. Official Code § 6-1041.01 et seq.) (“the Act”) and the Inclusionary Zoning Regulations adopted by the Zoning Commission for the District of Columbia and codified in Chapter 26 Title 11 of the DCMR.
