Six PADD Solicitations for Offers for 36 Blighted Properties and Vacant Lots

The D.C. Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) announces the release of six solicitations for offers (SFOs) for 36 blight properties and vacant lots throughout the nation’s capital.

Through the SFO, DHCD is seeking public offers to build development projects that promote vibrant, walkable, mixed use and income neighborhoods. The 36 District owned properties and lots are located in Wards 6 and 8, consisting of a building and 35 vacant lots. The ward-by-ward breakdown includes:

Ward 6
Kramer St NE -  17 Vacant lots

Ward 8
Skyland Terrace, SE - 7 Vacant lots
West St SE -  5 Vacant lots
Forrester Street SW  3 Vacant lots
High Street SE  Vacant lot
Morris Road SE - Vacant lot
13th Street SE -  Vacant lot
6th Street SE -  BLDG

The SFO application materials will be available on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 on the DHCD website and also at the DHCD Housing Resource Center, located at 1800 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SE Washington, DC 20020 in CD format. A “Pre-Bid: Q&A Session”  will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 for SFOs 7-9, and Wednesday, December 10, 2014 for SFOs  10-12, at DHCD’s Housing Resource Center. The deadline for submitting proposal applications is 4 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015 for SFOs 7-9 and Wednesday, March 4, 2015 for SFOs 10-12.

IF YOU ARE REQUESTING FUNDING FROM DHCD YOU MUST FILL OUT THE PADD DFD PHASE II 2014 SUBSIDY APPLICATION MATERIALS LISTED BELOW.  YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED IF YOU FAIL TO DO SO.
