The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will host the FY 2026 Annual Action Plan Public Hearing in-person and virtually. The public hearing will focus on the “Housing and Community Development Needs in the District of Columbia”. DHCD is interested in receiving community feedback for the District’s draft of the District of Columbia Fiscal Year 2026 Annual Action Plan and the spending priorities utilizing federal entitlement funds. The Action Plan is a requirement of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

2026 Annual Action Plan Public Hearing Details:
Residents and stakeholders are strongly encouraged to come out and participate in the development of policies and programs in the following areas: 1) affordable housing; 2) special needs housing; 3) homelessness; 4) homeownership; and 5) community development and public service activities.
Testimony: If you would like to provide input during the hearing, you are encouraged to register by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. The public may also contact the DHCD at (202) 442-4382 to join the webinar, register, speak at the hearing, or ask general questions about the hearing. When registering for the hearing, please provide your name, address, telephone number, and organization affiliation, if any.
Language and Translations Services: The deadline for requesting services of an interpreter is five days prior to the hearing date. An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will be available, and Spanish interpretation will be available; residents who require language interpretation in Vietnamese, Chinese-Mandarin/Cantonese, Amharic, or French must notify the agency by e-mail to [email protected].
