DC Homeowner Assistance Fund

The DC Homeowner Assistance Fund has allocated all of its federal relief funding and will no longer provide grant assistance or payments to District homeowners affected by COVID-19.

DHCD's New Location

On April 1st, DHCD moved to its new location at 1909 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, and the location at 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE closed on Friday, March 29th. DHCD opened at its new location on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

This workshop, offered by the Rental Accommodations Division (RAD) of the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), will discuss DC's rent control law. This law not only sets limits on the amount and frequency of rent increases, it also has a host of rules that housing providers must follow—and tenants should understand to best protect their rights.
