DHCD Publlic Hearing - FY 2026 Annual Action Plan

DHCD is hosting the Public Hearing for the FY 2026 Annual Action Plan in-person and virtually on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 6:00 pm. The public hearing will focus on the “Housing and Community Development Needs in the District of Columbia”.

DHCD’s National Homeownership Month 2025

For National Homeownership Month 2025, DHCD is planning a series of workshops to engage our community on topics relevant to homeownership and financial literacy. DHCD encourages you to attend the National Homeownership Month event on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), as well as its public- and private sector partners, hosts and supports a variety of activities to provide affordable housing and community development resources to District residents.

DHCD's New Location

On April 1st, DHCD moved to its new location at 1909 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, and the location at 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE closed on Friday, March 29th. DHCD opened at its new location on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
