Friday, June 15, 2012
Report provides information on affordable housing units created in new or substantial rehabilitation projects

(Washington, DC) -- The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) announces the availability of the 2011 Inclusionary Zoning Annual Report.

Inclusionary Zoning (IZ) requires that affordable residential units be set aside in either a new development or a substantial rehabilitation. The goals of IZ are to produce affordable housing and increase homeownership opportunities for low and moderate income renters and owners.

The annual report provides information on the number of IZ units currently available and applicable projects that could produce additional units.

The 2011 Inclusionary Zoning Annual Report is available for download below, and is available at the DHCD Housing Resource Center, located at 1800 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SE (1st Floor).
