Action Step 2 of Vacant to Vibrant DC is now underway—the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has issued the first three solicitations for Certified Business Enterprises (CBEs) to bid on opportunities to rehabilitate vacant properties into workforce housing.
Vacant to Vibrant DC, launched by Mayor Bowser on December 15, is a five-point action plan that will transform DHCD’s vacant property inventory into workforce housing and green space, as well as teach how tiny homes can fit into the DC landscape.
