Jane Oh is the Deputy Director of Strategic and Legislative Affairs at DHCD, supporting strategy development and managing external affairs, legislative strategies, and other policy development areas.
Prior to DHCD, Jane served as a Policy Advisor in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Health & Human Services (DMHHS), advising the Deputy Mayor and agency executives on strategic planning and operations of the District’s health, behavioral health, and human service programs.
Preceding her service in District government, Jane was a Program Manager at The Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness, where she oversaw day-to-day operations and implementation of the District’s rapid rehousing program for families. She was also a Housing Coordinator and Housing Specialist there, focusing on developing a coordinated entry process for the family homeless services system, and facilitating housing placement and services for residents experiencing homelessness.
Jane also served as an Assessment Specialist at Community of Hope, leading training and technical assistance for government and community partners in homeless services, and supported families in a federal supportive housing program towards increasing economic mobility as a Case Manager.
She previously worked with students and youth to provide therapeutic treatment services as a Lead Behavioral Specialist at NDUTIME Youth & Family Services, and as an Applied Behavior Analysis Instructor at The Ivymount School.
Jane holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Public Health from University of Maryland College Park.
