On Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the Housing Resource Center located at 1800 Martin Luther King Jr, Ave SE Washington, DC, the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will hold the “Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA) for Tenants” training. This is an educational event for tenants and tenant advocates. This session will provide an overview of the District of Columbia’s Rental Housing Conversion and Sale Act of 1980 relating to tenants’ rights to purchase their building and first right of refusal.
