(Washington, DC) – The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has released Solicitations for Offers (SFOs) for the development of five sites in the Anacostia neighborhood of Ward 8.
Through the following SFOs, DHCD is seeking public offers to build projects that promote homeownership and combat blight in the District:
The DCRA Wellness Program is designed to educate employees about their homebuying options, credit management and rental protections.
The DC Department of Housing and Community Development, Rental Housing Commission will hear the cross appeal in RH-TP-14-30,482 and 14,30,555, Pearson, Jr. v. Brown on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, 2 pm to 3 pm. The hearing will be held at the Rental Housing Commission located at 441 4th Street, Suite 1140B-North NW, Washington, DC 20001. See notice below.
The 8th Annual Minority Business Expo has become the region’s prime event to connect minority-owned businesses with potential clients and organizations that support their growth. Participation in the Expo has increased from 70 exhibitors and 500 attendees in 2010 to over 170 exhibitors and 1,880 attendees in 2016. Moreover, the Expo had 27 companies and organizations from Latin America, 60 business matchmaking meetings and more than 95 sponsors and partners.
This year's theme for the 16th Annual Fair Housing Symposium is “Transformative Integration: Changing Times in Fair Housing.” The event will focus on how community stakeholders might transcend the political gridlock and move toward integration in housing.
The Critical Home Repair Initiative RFA will be available next Friday, April 14, 2017, and the Pre-Application Conference will be rescheduled. The RFA was to be published on April 7, 2017, per notice in the DC Register posted on April 7, 2017; however due to an April 6 power outage and DHCD’s necessary closure at 2:15 pm on that date, final discussions and updates were unable to be made.
