Councilmember Anita Bonds held a public roundtable to discuss the District’s Opportunity to Purchase Act and explore potential improvements to the existing program. Legislation was introduced in Council Period 23 and has been re-introduced in Council Period 24 that would change program requirements in order to bolster participation in the program and bring it in line with federal housing programs.
