A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the building site, 1831 2nd Street, NE, Members of the press and local community are encouraged to attend.

On April 1st, DHCD moved to its new location at 1909 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, and the location at 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE closed on Friday, March 29th. DHCD opened at its new location on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
