The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is soliciting public input as it develops the District’s draft Fiscal Year 2018 Action Plan.
DHCD will receive approximately $33 million from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in Fiscal Year 2018 through several programs: (1) the National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF); (2) the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program; (3) the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME); and (4) the Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) Program; and (4) the Housing for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Program.
Residents and stakeholders are strongly encouraged to provide input in the development of policies and programs in the following areas: (1) affordable housing; (2) special needs housing; (3) homelessness; (4) homeownership; and (5) community development and public service activities, DHCD is also interested in receiving community feedback on innovative strategies to enhance community participation during this planning process.
