Community-based Organization (CBO) Training and Events

The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) funds the activities of several community-based organizations (CBOs) and grantees, which offer significant training, workshops and one-on-one counseling to current and potential homeowners, tenants and small businesses. Their mission: to build stronger communities by empowering local residents and business owners with information that will help them reach their goals.

For individuals and families living in the District, workshop topics include managing the home purchase process, homeowner training, credit counseling, home/budget management and renter assistance.

Services offered to small businesses include technical assistance and façade improvements.

Workshops are regularly offered by our CBOs and grantees and one-on-one counseling is available by appointment. The charts below provide links to more information.
