The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) greatly appreciates the ongoing efforts of our housing providers to provide affordable housing to an increasingly vulnerable population, particularly during the COVID-19 public health crisis. Realizing that the crisis may impact their financial position in the near and long term, and as DHCD continues to craft relief initiatives, we wanted to hear from our housing providers to get a better sense of their most pressing concerns when it comes to their affordable housing properties. Most of the information requested in this questionnaire is in reference to their experience with the properties in their portfolio in the District of Columbia that are associated with a DC DHCD loan or the Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits(LIHTC), but the survey also asks broader questions so we can gather more general feedback on the impact of the crisis on affordable housing in the District.
