On Wednesday, January 29, 2014, the DC Department of Housing and Community Development held the first workshop of the 2014 Capacity Building Series titled, "DHCD: Who We Are, Who We Serve and Who We Support".

On March 20, 2013, DHCD held a public hearing on the proposed Big K Site disposition plan for 2228 – 2252 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE.
