(Washington, DC) - On October 7, 2010, the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) released a Solicitation for Offers (SFO) for the development of 1831 2nd Street, NE. Through the SFO, DHCD is seeking public offers to build a development project for affordable housing on the following site:

- Vacant Building
- Ward 5, zoned R-4
- Eckington neighborhood, not a Historic District
- Assessed value: $2.1 million
The Solicitation for Offers application materials is available for download below and also at the DHCD Housing Resource Center in CD format. The DHCD Housing Resource Center is located at 1800 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Washington, DC 20020. Printed copies of the application will be made available upon request. A pre-bid meeting was held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 22, 2010, at DHCD’s Housing Resource Center. The deadline for submitting proposal applications is 3 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2010.
