(Washington, DC) - The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), pursuant to the authority set forth in Section 107 of the Inclusionary Zoning Implementation Act of 2006, effective March 14, 2007 (D.C. Law 16-275; D.C. Official Code Section 6-1041.07) and Mayor’s Order 2008-59, dated April 2, 2008, hereby gives notice that registration for a lottery of affordable housing units (Inclusionary Units) under the Inclusionary Zoning Program shall be open from Friday, May 27, 2011 through Friday, June 10, 2011.
Inclusionary Units are located in new or substantially rehabilitated developments and are designated for Households that earn at or below 50% or 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for the Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area. For information on maximum incomes by household size, click here.
Tenants and Owners of Inclusionary Units will be selected through a DHCD conducted lottery. DHCD is opening the lottery registration for this period of time to fill two (2) currently available Inclusionary Units. The lottery registration may re-open at a later date as more Inclusionary Units become available. If you register during the above stated open periods and you are eligible for the Inclusionary Zoning Program, you will be considered for current and future lotteries of Inclusionary Units, but must renew your registration every two years.
There are three ways to register for the Inclusionary Zoning Program lottery:
- Register online by clicking here or "Register for Lottery" below,
- Register in person at DHCD’s Housing Resource Center, 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, 1st Floor, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, (202) 442-9505, or
