Single Family Residential Rehabilitation Program (SFRRP)

** The Single-Family Residential Rehabilitation Program (SFRRP) is specifically for the residents of Washington, DC **

The Single Family Residential Rehabilitation Program (SFRRP) administers grants for roof repairs and/or modification to eliminate barriers to accessibility for persons with mobility or other physical impairments. DHCD community-based non-profit organizations (CBO) provides programs that assist eligible single-family homeowners with essential home repairs. DHCD offers the following home rehabilitation assistance program through its CBOs. SFRRP - Offerings

Roof Repairs

  • This program is part of the SFRRP and provides a grant of up to $20,000 to replace and/or repair the roof. This grant pays for exterior roofing and gutter work only.

Accessibility Improvements

  • This program provides a grant of up to $30,000 for accessibility modifications needed to adjust most physical barriers within a home for persons with mobility or other physical impairments.

Note: Grants under this program may be combined but cannot exceed the overall program maximum of $50,000. All Programs are subject to homeowner eligibility which is based upon the homeowner’s income.
