Since 2015, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) has held a pre-solicitation event that announces upcoming community development projects in the District.
In addition to DMPED, the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCDP and other District agencies) also preview upcoming development opportunities to produce and preserve affordable housing, and transform vacant spaces. At the event, attendees hear about the solicitation process and response requirements, and most importantly, have the opportunity to network among potential team members across the community development sector.
