The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allocates federal funding to the District of Columbia (the District) for housing and community development programs. To receive these funds, the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), along with the Department of Health (DC Health) and the Department of Human Services (DHS) develop an "Action Plan" to spend the federal resources. This year we will develop a five-year Consolidated Plan along with the Annual Action Plan. District residents and stakeholders are strongly encouraged to give input on the proposed plans no later than Friday, June 4, 2021. DHCD will submit the FY 2022-2026 Consolidated Plan and the FY 2022 Action Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on August 16, 2021.
District residents are encouraged to attend and testify if they want. Register HERE.
