The DC Interagency Council on Homelessness (ICH) Housing Solutions Committee will meet to review housing inventory needs over the five year plan period to achieve goals related to ending homelessness.

Purpose/Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing assessment of the permanent housing resource needs/gaps of the homeless services system (in coordination with the strategic planning committee);
  • Make recommendations to funders on annual investment priorities;
  • Identify recommended uses of mainstream and philanthropic resources to fill gaps;
  • Serve as formal link to the broader affordable housing efforts in the community;
  • Develop strategies to incentivize participation by landlords and developers;
  • Identify new financing sources and develop strategy for pursuing 
  • Identify policy, legal, or other barriers to developing PSH and other deeply affordable (0 to 30% AMI) housing and make recommendations for ameliorating.
