Come Celebrate the Plaza West Groundbreaking. A new construction of an affordable development for individuals, families and “Grandfamilies” – seniors raising their grandchildren.
This was a partnership with Golden Rule Plaza Inc. (GRP), a nonprofit subsidiary of Bible Way Church, and the Henson Development Company, Mission First to build the Plaza West project at the northeast corner of 4th and K Streets NW.
The two main components of the development are:
- 50 two and three bedroom units will provide affordable housing for grandparents raising grandchildren and will serve families making 30% – 60% of area median income.
- 173 units will provide affordable housing for individuals and families making less than 60% of area median income, with eleven units set aside as permanent supportive housing for Department of Behavioral Health consumers.
