The Government of the District of Columbia, through the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) and the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) are issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the MLK/Gateway Community in Historic Anacostia at the nexus of Good Hope Road SE and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Ward 8.
DMPED and DHCD invite qualified Development Teams with experience in small to medium scaled commercial and mixed-use developments to respond to this RFP for the disposition and development of two (2) sites in the MLK Gateway Community; the Good Hope Road SE Site (GHR Site) and Martin Luther King Site (MLK Site) with land area for each 13,287 and 5,400 square feet respectively. The District will only consider proposals that provide development schemes for both the GHR Site and MLK Site in order to create a true Gateway to Anacostia.
