Types of Exhibits:
Exhibit Hall - Approximately 100 vendors will be on hand to discuss housing related services.
Home Show – Find innovative products; decoration and remodeling ideas; home Improvement specialists; gardening products; hundreds of experts from windows to flooring to cabinets and landscaping, all under one roof and much more.
Home Retention Counseling – Attendees will be able to speak to lending representatives on an individual basis to discuss options available when facing foreclosure.
Credit Counseling – Free credit reports will be provided, and attendees will be able to discuss ways to improve credit, with HUD certified counselors.
Workshops – A wide variety of workshops will be offered concurrently throughout the day. They include but are not limited to the following: financial literacy, homeownership 101, are you financially fit, “keys to keeping your home” aging in place, more life less clutter.
Youth Activities – A Virtual Reality Fair will be held for high school students featuring a series of booths designed for students to identify career choices, establish and earn a monthly salary, pay for housing, utilities, transportation, clothing, food, etc, while making decisions on how to stay within their monthly budget. Students will have one on one counseling opportunities with financial counselors.
Virtual Financial Café – Designed for middle and high school aged youth. The Virtual Financial Café is filled with multiple web-based applications empowering young people through video games, virtual simulations, and other gamification strategies to educate youth on basic financial principles and the importance of money.
