The District of Columbia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD or “the Department”) announces a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Housing Preservation Fund. The funds for this NOFA are being released based on the availability of FY 2020 budget funds.
DHCD invites applications from fund managers capable of structuring, administering, funding and managing a public-private fund in Washington, D.C. to receive and leverage the available Preservation Fund resources of the District and use them to increase the preservation of affordable housing in Washington, DC. Grant funding will be provided to one or more organizations to serve as fund manager of the Housing Preservation Fund FY 2020 funds.
The application deadline is October 1st, 2019 4:00 p.m. EST.
The goal of the Housing Preservation Fund is to aid in achieving the policy objective of the DC Housing Preservation Strike Force: Preserving the affordability of 100% of the District’s existing federally and city-assisted affordable rental homes.
