(Washington, DC) - John E. Hall, Director, Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), announces a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds administered by DHCD.
DHCD invites qualified for-profit and/or nonprofit developers (“Developers”) with extensive experience in residential real estate acquisitions, dispositions, rehabilitation and/or construction, and home sales to income-restricted buyers to submit their qualifications to carry out acquisition, development, home sales and rental activities funded through NSP. The RFQ will be issued on September 9, 2011.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 23, 2011 at 3:00p.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time at DHCD, 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE, 1st Floor, Housing Resource Center. DHCD will announce the developers selected to go forward to the underwriting stage for NSP funding in October 2011. The RFQ package, including all application materials along with the NSP information and all reference guidebooks, will be available in CD format and can be obtained at DHCD, Housing Resource Center, Ground Floor, 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, S.E., Washington, D.C. 20020 on September 9, 2011. Also, this material will be available for download from this page no later than September 9, 2011.
