On April 1st, DHCD moved to its new location at 1909 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, and the location at 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE closed on Friday, March 29th. DHCD opened at its new location on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Agency PerformanceMayor Muriel Bowser will celebrate the preservation of Worthington Woods as affordable housing. This marks the preservation of over 1,000 units of affordable housing through the Preservation Fund.
Worthington Woods is a preservation project of nearly 400 units of affordable housing at 60% of MFI. The project is a TOPA deal with the tenant’s organization selecting Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP) to purchase the property from WC Smith.
