36,000 by 2025 Goals Tracker

The purpose of this site is to track housing production in support of the Mayor’s goal of producing 36,000 new housing units and 12,000 affordable units by 2025.

DHCD Is Moving

On April 1st, DHCD will move to its new location at 1909 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE. The location at 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE will be closed Friday, March 29 to accommodate the move. DHCD will reopen at its new location on Tuesday, April 2.

Home Purchase Assistance Program (HPAP)

The Home Purchase Assistance (HPAP) program provides interest-free loans and closing cost assistance to qualified applicants to purchase single family houses, condominiums, or cooperative units in the District.

Residential Accessory Apartment Program (RAAP)

In her FY 22 and 23 budgets, Mayor Bowser provided over $2 million in funding for the establishment of an affordable dwelling unit pilot program.

DC Homeowner Assistance Fund

The DC Homeowner Assistance Fund Program uses funding from the American Rescue Plan to provide grants to District Homeowners who have been affected by COVID-19 to help keep their home.

FY2015 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) Public Hearing

The Department of Housing and Community Development has scheduled a public hearing in preparation for the submission of the FY 2015 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) to HUD, DHCD is soliciting public comment on the District’s effectiveness during FY2015 at using federal funds to meet the District’s housing and community development needs. These comments will form part of DHCD’s and the District’s evaluation, as required by federal regulations (24 CFR 91.520). This hearing is reserved for a discussion of the DHCD’s FY2015
