DC Homeowner Assistance Fund

The DC Homeowner Assistance Fund has allocated all of its federal relief funding and will no longer provide grant assistance or payments to District homeowners affected by COVID-19.

DHCD's New Location

On April 1st, DHCD moved to its new location at 1909 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, and the location at 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE closed on Friday, March 29th. DHCD opened at its new location on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

(WASHINGTON, DC) – The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has closed a loan agreement to produce 36 new affordable rental housing units in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood of Ward 6 through funding from the Housing Production Trust Fund (HPTF) and federal tax credits.
